For both teams and relays you can set custom invitation notifications that are sent when a team or relay captain invites members.
EventDog Pro Tip
You might want to make the Email Confirmation for Teams and Relays slightly different from the Event level confirmation. To do this Uncheck Inherit From Event next to the Email Confirmation and Select the Update button. Now you can edit the content from the Event level or create a totally brand new confirmation.
Team Invitation
To edit the team invite, Click on your Team Captain Activity. Then Select the Notifications tab. Uncheck Use System Message and Click Update to edit the team invitation.
Relay Invitation
To edit the relay message Click on the Relay Activity. Then Select the Notifications tab. Uncheck Use System Message and Click Update to edit the relay invitation.
Note
If you choose not to customize these, an invitation will still be sent using the stock team or relay invitation on EventDog.
EventDog Pro Tip
To save time you can have the Activities for your Event inherit the personalized notifications that you set at the Event level. The Activities can inherit all the notifications or just one depending on how you choose to personalize the activities notifications.
Preview and Test Notifications
To preview a notification Click on the Preview option next to the Update Button. Next, Search a participant to preview the notification and Click Preview. From the preview screen, you can highlight your the wildcards you used and send a test notification to the email address of the participant you are previewing.
EventDog Pro Tip
We strongly recommend test registering yourself for your event(s). This will allow you to go through the registration process and search yourself as a participant and send test notifications to yourself.
